The “Marmitte del Diavolo” in Croveo is a rock formation created by the erosion of water and glaciers. They are attributed by legend to the throwing of stones by the devil. A place of extraordinary geological value, but also of great beauty. The mufflers can be reached through an ancient mule track from the center of the small village of Croveo. This precious casket offers unique suggestions and shows the bursting force of nature.

The route through woods and meadows leads, through a metal staircase, to a terrace from which you can enjoy a spectacular view of the dizzying abyss where the waterfall of the river Devero falls.

The swirling waters pass through two gigantic boulders arranged in a hut shape and fall into the deep well. Over the centuries the natural phenomena of erosion have given rise to extravagant rock formations, caves, treacherous passages admirably smoothed by the millennial caresses of the water.
In few steps, the path continues until crossing an ancient stone bridge.
