The Baceno Devero Crampiolo is a historic race, born in 1970, not as a real competitive race, but as an opportunity to appreciate the spectacular scenery surrounded by nature where you run or walk. Over the years, however, it has also started to have a competitive value, with top athletes paving the way for families and uncompetitive hikers. After a few years of forced stop, in 2024 the Baceno Devero Crampiolo race returned, crossing the important milestone of fifty editions.
After touching the woods around Baceno, the race will take participants to the highest altitudes of Alpe Devero, where the mountains are majestic and where the views are wide, to the small village of Crampiolo.
An incomparable natural environment accompanies athletes during most of the race, entering the Veglia Devero Natural Park: large pastures surrounded by larch woods, with undergrowth of rhododendrons and blueberries, which fade into the high-altitude prairies: a show not to be missed.
The non-competitive spirit that characterizes the race of Baceno Devero Crampiolo attracts fans of amateur sports but also families with children, who appreciate the walk in nature and then celebrate together with great athletes in a climate characterized by great conviviality and passion for the mountains.
