The Alpe Devero is certainly the most suitable area to undertake fascinating snowshoe trails.
There are three most popular routes: Devero-Corte d’Ardui-Crampiolo, Devero-Vallaro-Crampiolo, Corte d’Ardui-Laghi del Sangiatto-Crampiolo, recognized by the Municipality of Baceno as “safe routes”. The hiker who passes along the path scrupulously following the direction indicated by the signs, has the right not to carry with him the standard equipment for the avalanche rescue, ARTVA (Avalanche Search Apparatus), shovel and probe.
Warning: for maximum safety, outside the marked paths, you must always inform yourself in advance about the snow conditions and the avalanche risk and equip yourself for the self rescue.
The Municipality of Baceno could limit access to the marked routes in case of abnormal snow and weather conditions.
